Was last New Year’s Eve a bit…lacklustre?

It happens to the best of us. You feel like this year, you’ll plan something. You’ll gather your mates and organise something really spectacular. And then it all becomes too hard. Too complicated to organise that many people and then suddenly it’s the day.

But this year, it’s time to get organised. To gather your mates and make that plan to ensure you have a killer NYE. Here’s why Casino Canberra is the place to be on 31 December.

ONE WORD: BANQUET

Food is a pretty integral part of a good New Year’s Eve. For one, waiting for 1 January to tick over can get pretty old if there’s nothing to occupy your evening with; and secondly, no one should be drinking champagne on an empty stomach. Not if you actually want to make it to midnight, that is.

Naturally (sorry), beverages are included, but this isn’t some run of the mill ‘white or red’ line up. Instead, you’ll be indulging in drops from some of the Canberra region’s most respected winemakers, including Mount Majura sparkling and Clonakilla Hilltops Shiraz in addition to beer, spirits and soft drink. Cheers to that!

THE GREATEST SHOW ON EARTH

To get you to that midnight countdown, you’ll need some entertainment and lots of it. This NYE, the Casino will transform into a vintage Cirque du Casino, with a colourful cast of characters to keep you entertained until the clock strikes midnight and beyond.

With organ grinding, juggling, balloons and magic tricks from the roving ‘Mr Munkey’ all part of the line-up, as well as a DJ from 9 pm onwards, you’ll have plenty to keep you occupied.

KEEP THE PARTY GOING

One of the great benefits of celebrating at Casino Canberra is that it’s one of Canberra’s few late-night venues, meaning that even after 2019 has officially begun, you’ll be able to keep the party going…and going, and going.

With music and drinks happening at the luxe Chandelier Bar until 5 am, the after party is taken care of.
