By car:

North entry: follow the European road E60 (DN2a) from France – Switzerland – Germany – Austria – Hungary – Oradea – Brașov – Bucharest or the European road E87 (DN22) from Ukraine-Tulcea.

West entry: follow the A2 highway from Bucharest or the European road E81 from Ukraine – Satu Mare – Cluj Napoca – Sibiu – Pitești – Bucharest.

South entry: follow the European road E87 (DN39) from Bulgaria – Mangalia or the European road E65 (DN38) from Bulgaria – Negru Vodă.

It’s an important city of Romania and the majority of coach/bus companies pass through Constanța to other locations, especially during summer.

By train:

Constanța City is an important railway junction of the country and dozens of trains stop here even if it’s in the south-east corner of Romania. The main railway routes that pass through Constanța are:

The best period to visit Constanța City is between March and October-November, because during winter can be frequent thunderstorms and strong winds. Spring and autumn have perfect days for walks and visits and summer is the best for relaxation at the Black Sea seaside. Summers can be often very hot with temperatures over 30-35° C.

Constanta City is situated in a low seaside relief area from the south-east part of Dobruja (Dobrogea) at the Black Sea between a lacunaria area in east and surrounded by a plain and hilly area from all the other three sides. To the north and west parts of the city stretches the Dobruja Plateau, with South Dobruja Plateau and Casimcei Plateau, its subdivisions. The average elevation of the city is only 25 m height. Constanta City climate is temperate-continental with some influences from Siberia when there are often storms with powerful winds during winter and influences from the Black Sea (high humidity, breeze etc.). Summers are very hot attracting most of the tourists and winters are short, but however cold and rich in rainfall. The annual average of the temperature is 11-12° C. Constanta City isn’t crossed by any river but Siutghiol and Tabacariei lakes are on its territory.
